چکیده
One of the biggest problems facing use carbon nanotubes in reinforced composites is agglomeration within matrix phase. This phenomenon—caused by Van der Waals forces—leads to dispersion and weakens properties composites. research presents a multi-stage homogenization approach used investigate influence aspect ratio, volume fraction, nanofillers on effective mechanical polymer biocomposite containing randomly dispersed graphene nanoplatelets. The first stage consisted evaluating polymers CNT/GNP. second step combining with different natural synthetic unidirectionally oriented fibers. It was found that has huge composite. novelty this work consideration parameters influencing elastic using micromechanics approaches numerical techniques.

A fiber-reinforced Transversely Isotropic Constitutive Model for Liver Tissue
Biomechanical properties of soft tissue, such as liver, are important in modeling computer aided surgical procedures. Experimental evidences show that liver tissue is transversely isotropic. In this article, considering the liver tissue as an incompressible fiber-reinforced composite with one family of fibers, an exponential strain energy function (SEF) is proposed. The proposed SEF is based on...
متن کاملMaterials for Wind Turbine Blades: An Overview
A short overview of composite materials for wind turbine applications is presented here. Requirements toward the wind turbine materials, loads, as well as available materials are reviewed. Apart from the traditional composites for wind turbine blades (glass fibers/epoxy matrix composites), natural composites, hybrid and nanoengineered composites are discussed. Manufacturing technologies for win...

متن کاملOccupational exposures to styrene vapor in a manufacturing plant for fiber-reinforced composite wind turbine blades.
OBJECTIVES A utility-scale wind turbine blade manufacturing plant requested assistance from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in controlling worker exposures to styrene at a plant that produced 37 and 42 m long fiber-reinforced wind turbine blades. The plant requested NIOSH assistance because previous air sampling conducted by the company indicated concerns about...
متن کاملProcess Modeling of Composite Materials for Wind-Turbine Rotor Blades: Experiments and Numerical Modeling
The production of rotor blades for wind turbines is still a predominantly manual process. Process simulation is an adequate way of improving blade quality without a significant increase in production costs. This paper introduces a module for tolerance simulation for rotor-blade production processes. The investigation focuses on the simulation of temperature distribution for one-sided, self-heat...
